It was the last meeting for Anna Marie Lovett from Lisle. She is moving to Washington and the club wishes her the best.
Bill Novak brought a sample of Village Wallscapes (advertised in Village D-Lights) to share with the club. They are beautiful hand painted back drops. The company donated 2 valued at $250 to the Chicago Gathering.
April Meeting we will have Andi from Ronald McDonald House come to present her with a check of $2500. The amount was agreed by the club, there was a motion and a second.
NCC - No news, our rep John was not in attendance.
Digest – No news, our rep Tom was not in attendance.
Just Ducky News – 20% night of meeting on all non village accessories (i.e trees, landscape, etc). A number of the limited pieces started coming in, so far Timbers Hotel and Fast Harbor Fairy.
Kirk will be teaching Thursday night display classes in Darien and Sundays in Naperville. There will be a make-n-take for Easter. And in Aug/Sept timeframe he will teach the class how to make tree trunks (for Halloween Displays).
General News - Don’t forget to pay dues!
May meeting will be at Just Ducky, Sherrie will not be able to host at her house. Wacky Willagers already has a program set for that meeting and have not decided if they will be joining us or not.
Electrical Questions – index cards were handed out to collect any electrical questions that club members might have. Ron will address these questions in April.
Chicago Gathering – Sign up to hand out raffle tickets at seminars and make-n-takes. Each Chicagoland club and store will be given one day passes to be raffled off.
Plans for Flanagan’s Wake and a Murder Mystery Mansion are in progress. More info to follow.
