Meeting brought to order by Rich Wyllie, president.
·Member/Visitor introductions – Rich welcomed the new members
·Secretary Report – Past meeting minutes are posted on the website: www.ducky56ers.com.
·Treasurer Report – Printed on reverse of agenda and presented
·Newsletter Report – The Digest was distributed by email. If club members do not have access to e-mail they need to contact Chuck Lazzara to have a printed copy sent through the U.S. postal mail.
·NCC Representative Report – A copy of the bi-monthly publication Village D-Lights was available for viewing. New members should contact John Eckerle for the NCC pin.
·Latest from Just Ducky – The Duck is closed to the general public on meeting nights but open to Club members. There is 70% off on Christmas items and 40% off on village items. Sharon Wyllie took orders for the new 2007 village pieces. The downpayment requirement for orders is waived for Club members.
·General Announcements
The Club received a check in the amount of $875 to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. The check was received because of Club members efforts at the April 2006 Gathering.
Members received a description of the Club’s involvement with the Ronald McDonald House situated on the Hines Hospital sight in Loyola.
Discussion of a Halloween Housewalk was postponed to a meeting in the Spring
·Business
Holiday Housewalk Weekend, Jan. 5, 6 &7, began with 30 members attending the
Friday evening pre- Housewalk event. Saturday’s public Housewalk was successful
with proceeds to be donated to the Ronald McDonald House. Sunday’s Members Only
Housewalk was attended by 30 members. Member’s attended one, two or three of
the events during the weekend and experienced good food, fellowship and a good
time. Dan
and Debbie Collander shared their experiences about the trip they won to the
Department 56/Lenox headquarters in Minnesota.
·Program
Members learned detailed information about the new introductions for 2007
from Dan
Collander and D56 representative Mitchell Darch. Their PowerPoint
presentations were enjoyed by all.
·Raffle
– Members won prizes including gift certificates from Just Ducky at the January
meeting. The raffle raised $156 for the Ronald McDonald House near Loyola. Next meeting to be held:
